When a HÅG chair is personalized to you, you will be able to control it easily with your body. HÅG chairs are delivered unlocked. You should keep it like this. You should only lock your HÅG H04 Credo when you are adjusting the forward tilt tension of the chair. To do this, lean back, push the lever on the right hand side with the green tactile coding forward, and lock the chair into rear-tilted position. Adjust the tilt resistance (explained under ”tilt resistance”). Unlock the chair by pushing the lever on the right hand side with the green tactile coding backwards.

Seat Height

Getting the seat height high enough helps you achieve balance. When in balance you move just as easily forwards as backwards. If you prefer a higher seat height, use the footplates when leaning backwards. To change the seat height, lift the lever at the left hand side with the purple tactile coding and lift your weight off the seat.

Seat Depth and Backrest Height

Sit back into the chair. Then adjust the seat depth short enough to enable your legs to move freely under the chair. To adjust seat depth, lift the lever on the left hand side with the yellow tactile coding and slide the seat into the preferred position. To adjust the backrest height, pull the knob found on the back of the chair (easily accessible from a sitting position) outward and slide the backrest up/down to your desired position. To adjust the backrest of the HÅG H04 Credo 4000, loosen the wheel on the back-rest arm, adjust the backrest and retighten the wheel.

Tilt Resistance | Backward Resistance / Forward Resistance

Correct resistance helps achieve balance. When in balance you move just as easily forwards as backwards. It is important that resistance backward and forward is approximately the same, as this will give you the best movement. To adjust backward resistance, turn the wheel under the chair clockwise (softer) or anticlockwise (harder). To adjust the forward tilt resistance, lock the chair into rear-tilted position (see “unlock”), move the small lever under the chair on the right hand side forwards (harder) or backwards (softer). Unlock the chair.

Armrest & Headrest Depth / Height

The armrests may give intermittent support to the forearms and to the elbows when sitting reclined. Armrests should not be used as long-term support when you are working at a desk or table. They may be adjusted low to fit under the table when working in this position. To change the height of the armrests push the buttons located on the inside front of the arm and move the armrests up or down. To adjust the width of the armrests, loosen the screw located under the seat on the armrest bracket. Find your preferred width and retighten the screw. Your back and neck should be comfortable and supported when sitting upright or leaning back. To adjust the height of the headrest take hold of the cushion and slide it up or down. You can adjust the depth of the headrest by turning the knob under the chair on the headrest holder.
