Puls is streamlined, light, colorful, easier to clean, and at a lower price point, responding to a new generation’s search for comfort, movement, and self-expression. The Capisco Puls has earned HAG yet another red dot design award—a testament to its innovation, environmental friendliness, and human-centered design.

The original Capisco changed how we think about sitting at work. Designer Peter Opsvik drew inspiration for his “saddle chair” from horseback riders—the first long-term sitters. Mirroring the rider’s position, the HÅG Capisco was conceived to allow people to maintain the same great posture and balanced upper body.

Capisco Puls was designed by Opsvik with the same principles, resulting in a chair that liberates its users rather than confines them. Optimal support, freedom and multiple sitting heights and postures revive weary bodies and energize creative minds. A forward-thinking chair with deep roots.

Materials have been kept to a minimum, and recycled materials have been used wherever possible to minimize the chair’s carbon footprint, positioning HÅG Capisco Puls as an example of best-in-class environmental design.

The HAG Capisco Puls is produced in an environmentally friendly way for an environmentally friendly purpose. Easily replaceable components that are few in number result in a product with a long service life. The plastic components are labelled by type for at-source-sorting.

HAG is registered as an environmentally aware business under the EU EMAS. We also operate environmental management systems in compliance with NS-ISO 14001.

The seat of the HAG Capisco Puls is made from recycled bumpers and plastic packaging from household waste. The plastic components are labelled by type for at-source-sorting. Unlock!

HAG chairs are normally delivered unlocked, and they should normally remain unlocked. However, HAG recommends locking the HAG Capisco Puls in a neutral position when sitting back-to-front. You can lock the seat in the neutral or reclined position. To lock the tilt resistance, use the small lever with a green marking on the right side and push the lever backward. Unlock the chair by pulling the lever forward.

Seat Height

HAG Capisco Puls’s design was inspired by the sitting position of a horseback rider, so with this chair you can sit higher than in other chairs. The HAG Capisco Puls is an excellent choice for height-adjustable desks or higher work surfaces. We recommend using a HAG StepUp™ for full usability of the HAG Capisco Puls. To change the seat height, lift the lever with the lavender marking on the left side and lift your weight off the seat.

Seat Depth and Backrest Height

When sitting on the front part of the seat, your body assumes an upright, natural posture. To rest your back, move further back on the seat. Place your feet on the star base or on a HAG StepUp. To adjust the seat depth, lift the yellow-marked lever and slide the seat to the preferred position. The backrest of the HAG Capisco Puls has incorporated armrests. For a comfortable height of backrest and elbow support, depress the button at the rear of the backrest and adjust the back element (up or down) to the desired height.

Tilt Resistance

The backward tilt resistance of the HAG Capisco Puls can be adjusted for extra comfort. Adjust the backward tilt resistance to allow for comfortable mobility. For less resistance, turn the wheel under the chair to the right. For greater resistance, turn the wheel to the left.
