Unlock!

HAG chairs are normally delivered unlocked, and they should normally remain unlocked. However, HAG recommends locking the HAG Capisco in a neutral position when sitting back-to-front. You can lock the seat in the neutral or reclined position. To lock the tilt resistance, use the small lever with a green marking on the right side and push the lever backward. Unlock the chair by pulling the lever forward.

Seat Height

HAG Capisco’s design was inspired by the sitting position of a horseback rider, so with this chair you can sit higher than in other chairs. The HAG Capisco is an excellent choice for height-adjustable desks or higher work surfaces. We recommend using a HAG StepUp™ for full usability of the HAG Capisco. To change the seat height, lift the lever with the lavender marking on the left side and lift your weight off the seat.

Seat Depth and Backrest Height

When sitting on the front part of the seat, your body assumes an upright, natural posture. To rest your back, move further back on the seat. Place your feet on the star base or on a HAG StepUp. To adjust the seat depth, lift the yellow-marked lever and slide the seat to the preferred position. The backrest of the HAG Capisco has incorporated armrests. For a comfortable height of backrest and elbow support, depress the button at the rear of the backrest and adjust the back element (up or down) to the desired height.

Tilt Resistance

The backward tilt resistance of the HAG Capisco can be adjusted for extra comfort. Adjust the backward tilt resistance to allow for comfortable mobility. For less resistance, turn the wheel under the chair to the right. For greater resistance, turn the wheel to the left.

Armrest & Headrest Depth / Height

The backrest of the HAG Capisco has incorporated armrests. For a comfortable height of elbow support, adjust the backrest to the preferred height. Depress the button at the rear of the backrest, and adjust the back element (up or down) to the desired height. The headrest can be adjusted up or down and can also be set closer to you or farther away. To adjust the height of the headrest, take hold of the cushion and slide it up or down. You can adjust the depth of the headrest by turning the knob under the chair on the headrest holder.
